I am a mid-50's woman living near Hindhead, Surrey. I am married with 3 grown up wonderful children and a gorgeous step-daughter. My husband and I are so lucky to have two beautiful grandsons, aged just 3 and 2.

I got into yoga simply as a way to de-stress and cope with the busy life of working for a large PLC and soon begun to love it and understand the huge benefits it brought, so in 2017 I qualified as a yoga teacher and began to lead practices.

A main symptom as I entered perimenopause was crippling anxiety and panic over what would have once been a simple inconvenience or bump in the road. I began to quietly read up on how nutrition could perhaps support me and make me feel better, which then led to understanding other practices I could introduce into my life to help alleviate this hideous anxiety.

I then had big life events in 2022 which resulted in me leaving my corporate role. It was around this time, that my interest in nutrition and lifestyle changes grew and I began to take it very seriously. I studied a diploma in Nutrition and Integrated Health Coaching and am now a member of the UK & International Health Coaching Association. I also studied with Amanda Hamilton through her Nutrition Coach Academy and became a certified practitioner with her at the beginning of 2026.

My life is busy juggling on a personal level, running my own house which I share with my husband, helping with childcare of my young grandsons and supporting my parents and mum-in-law who are aging. Whilst professionally running my coaching business, so I really get the pressure on mid-life women who are this sandwich generation. It is so easy to lose yourself, your direction, have a clear vision of what you want to do with your life and put your needs at the bottom of the big pile of other responsibilities. All the rushing about can mean you neglect nourishing your body in a positive way, lose sleep, give up time for you and boundaries go out the window.

I have been there and to be honest have a daily struggle of keeping my life balanced so I can be the best person I can be both for myself and for those that I love. So I totally get it, feel immense empathy for us women who are stretched in so many directions and love to support and help women manage their nutrition, health and lifestyle in a way that pushes them up to the top of list of priorities. Its so so important. Think of the well known quote "if you don't put on your own oxygen mask FIRST, you won't be able to save anyone else"
